Decisions by Various Board of Governors of General Interest to the Membership.
1977:
- HOLE-IN-ONE-PRIZE:
- A Gift Certificate in the amount of $250.00 will be awarded to a member scoring an ace during tournament play at one of our scheduled tournaments. Shall not apply during a practice round.
. MAX-HANDICAPS
A max-handicap of no more than 24 strokes shall be a requirement for a candidate as a new member. Handicap cards are required.
Any member who fails to maintain a handicap of 30 strokes at one of our tournaments during a year would not qualify for entry in either a limited-entry tournament or the Championship for the remainder of the year.
1995:
Your Board of Governors have made the following resolution:
The “AA” Group (75 – 79) may compete for the overall field winner, runner-up and third place, in any of the four events. However, would not be eligible to win in his age group. The entry card mailed back to the secretary must state at time of entry if you wish to compete in the regular division, you will play from regular tees.
1997:
- SELECTION OF ENTRIES AT LIMITED-ENTRY TOURNAMENTS:
- “Whereas, at such tournaments, more entries are received than can be accommodated by the host club, and
- “Whereas, it is in the best interests of the Association and the membership to field a number of the better players in each Age Group and provide priority places for deserving members and officers who are involved in the management and conduct of tournaments and social functions, it is
- RESOLVED, that handicap records be maintained on members attending tournaments and priority places be assigned by a Selection Committee, appointed by the Secretary who shall be Chairman, as follows:
- Present members of the Board of Governors
- The Association Secretary and members of the Tournament Committee
- Past and present annual Champions.
- The above applies only if your entry is received by or before the deadline.
Thereafter, entries will be determined by “blind draw” in balanced Age Groups until all places are filled.
Age Groups shall be balanced to maintain the same ratios reflected in the total entries.
All decisions of the Selection Committee shall be final.
1999:
The “AAA” Group (80 and over) may compete for the overall field winner, runner-up and third place, in any of the four events, However, would not be eligible to win in his age group. 2000:
Candidates for membership who meet all requirements for membership can be elected at any meeting of the Board.
2002:
Candidates must be 50 years of age instead of 55. Handicap of 24.
