Glenlakes Golf Club, Foley, Alabama: Jerry DuBose has HOLE-in-ONE to clear out the Second Men’s HOLE-in-ONE Pot.

Jerry made it on January 29, 2010.   He did it on the Vista #5 from 131 yards with a 9 iron into a slight wind. This was Jerry’s first HOLE-in-ONE and probably his last. He had Merlene DuBose and Ed Hewitt as witnesses.

Jerry called everyone he had numbers for to meet at the Clubhouse for free drinks.   The Pot was $390 and was paid out at the Clubhouse once Jerry finished him round.    The MGA paid $50 toward the bill. Jerry paid $264.44 and then left a nice tip.  It came close to clearing out the winnings!

November 1, 2009

Member Jerry DuBose made and donated to the Alabama Seniors Golf Association a four set of his customized “Closet-to-the-Hole” Par 3 Markers. If you were at Sandestin, FL, you would have seen them in action.

Just wanted to say “Thank You” to Jerry for providing them to the ASGA.

Very good quality!

At bottom right is Sam Cook, another new member this year, had another Hole-in-One. These are the first Hole-in-Ones during a Tournament that I can remember in the last four years.

Now at one tournament we have two!!!!

Each will recieve $250 from the Alabama Seniors Hole in One Pot.

Congratualtions Hughel and Sam!

Larry has a bar tab open for $50 at the Clubhouse Bar. He should be there around 1:00 pm after his round. He will have an extra $405.00 on him from the Men’s Hole-in-One Club that he is a member of.

Susan Hirsch has another HOLE-in-ONE! Susan was playing the Vista -Dunes on Saturday morning and had a HOLE-in-ONE on Dunes #12. She was approximately 110 yards from the green and was using a six iron. The witnesses were Cheryl Hoffman, Nancy Syphurs, Jo Smith and Carolyn Whitman. This was her fourth HOLE-in-ONE. She cleaned out the Ladies Hole-in-One Club worth $140.

When told about her ACE Jorge was reported as saying “That NICE WIFE of mine had another HOLE-in-ONE and I have not had one yet!” This is a very, very vanilla interpretation of what Jorge Gonzalez (Susan’s Husband) actually said.

Playing best score for the two man team and using his stroke he had a NET DOUBLE EAGLE for a two.  His partner was Martin Melton and they were playing with Walter Densmore and Bill Lanter.
